Hi I'm Cliff!
As a multimedia artist and underground rapper based in Pittsburgh, I create soulful works that explore the layered experiences of the African-American walk through life. My art spans ink illustration, music, spoken word poetry, and collage, all crafted with a raw authenticity that challenges societal norms while inspiring hope. Drawing on themes of family, corporate financial greed, class warfare, medical legalization, racism, politics, and personal struggles with mental health, I aim to create work that is both a mirror and a lantern—reflecting hard truths while illuminating paths forward.
Much of my work is art created in my living room, where I like to let my spirit fuel my creative process. Influenced by the gritty aesthetics of 1970s-1990s skateboard culture and the nostalgic texture of analog video and tape recordings, my art invites viewers into a world that is personal and unfiltered. I’ve frequently collaborated with many artists over the years, bands and musicians like Yak The Atlas, Depressica, Julian Atwater, Abstract Theory, Daryl Outlaw, Rich Wood, Bedrooms, Rosario and the OGM, H.I.M Hustle Is Mandatory, Faye Sullis, Drewz, Dinosoul, Vapo Reeves, Tremoravia, Crafted Sounds, August Fanon, Child Actor, and many more.
As a rapper, I’ve released seven soulful projects that blend storytelling, texture, rhythm, and history, bringing my experiences and perspectives to life. I played Trumpet and Alto Saxophone throughout Elementary and Middle School. My professional journey in music began during my 8 years as the official in-house graphic designer and unofficial rapper at a Pittsburgh music studio, where I honed both visual and lyrical artistry. I’ve had the privilege of performing my music and showcasing my art at renowned venues like Club Café, The Government Center, Schenley Plaza, and Pullproof Studios, as well as being featured in publications like Productive Honey Issue #4 and Calamity Curious Publishing VOL: 1.
At the heart of my work is a commitment to amplify voices and stories that often go unheard. Wrestling with depression and anxiety throughout my past, I continue to channel my struggles into creations that resonate with dreamers, fighters, and anyone searching for connection. Whether it’s on a canvas, a page, or a stage, my mission is to craft pieces that challenge, heal, and inspire.
I am currently available for bookings, including performance shows and art gallery exhibitions. If you’re looking to collaborate or experience art and music that embodies the spirit of the underground, thrives in the hands on d.i.y mindset, and pushes boundaries, message me today.
